Personal Yoga Training Sessions

Our doors are now open for one-on-one in-person personal yoga training sessions! Let’s get together IRL at any Yoga District studio location to get your wellness to the next level. If you want guidance on poses, diet, yoga philosophy, stress relief, injuries/conditions, or a complete wellness plan, we’re here for you.

COVID precautions: These personal yoga training sessions are private, with just one student and one teacher permitted in the entire studio for the entire duration of the session. Both the teacher and student will remain distanced and masked at all times. The studio will be vacant for at least 30 minutes before and after each session. Just one additional staff member is stationed outside during each session. We follow these procedures because your wellbeing and the wellbeing of our staff are our highest priority.

Exceptional teachers: Whether you’re just trying out yoga or want to fine tune your existing yoga practice, you’ll benefit greatly from personally-tailored sequences of yoga poses, breathing exercises, and meditation designed by the best teachers we hand-pick to help you meet your wellness goals. Teachers include Yoga District’s regular and senior instructors, as well as our larger network of teachers in the DC-area yoga community.

Signing up & fees: Keeping with Yoga District’s nonprofit mission, we offer these sessions on a sliding scale basis. If you have financial challenges, please let us know. Standard pricing options are below.

  • In-person sessions: $50 for 20 minutes, $100 for 50 minutes, or $175 for 75 minutes. To book an in-person session, just complete the form below.
  • Online sessions: $85 per hour. To book an online session, just complete the form below.

The Teachers

The diverse family of DC yoga teachers at Yoga District are dedicated to making yoga accessible to everyone through a huge variety of yoga class types, from vinyasa flow to restorative and beyond. Most Yoga District teachers are graduates of Yoga District’s nationally-attended 200 hour teacher training program. All Yoga District classes focus on coordinating breath with body movement to promote flexibility, strength, and peace of mind. We strongly believe in yoga as therapy, so catch one of our classes whenever you need a healthy dose of self-care.

The Next Step

The Yoga District 200 and 500 hour teacher training certification programs, registered by the Yoga Alliance are unique in their emphasis on diversity of teaching styles studied, personal attention, and trauma sensitive yoga. It's no coincidence that Yoga District is regularly voted the leading studio in the nation's capital, and that most of its classes are taught by graduates of its training program. As a full time yoga school, small group trainings are led up to eight times a year by a dedicated faculty including Jasmine Chehrazi, contributor to the Harvard Karma Yoga Project teacher training, teacher training faculty at George Washington University, Yoga Alliance Standards Committee Advisory Board Member, Yoga Activist Founder, and Yoga Service Council Advisory Board Member.
