Virtual Yoga Classes With everything going on now, this might be when you need yoga the most! Yoga District is offering several daily online yoga classes through Zoom. Connect with your community through a virtual practice and enjoy yoga together!

We understand that sometimes you decide to take a class last minute. Good news, last minute yoga is a real option! We have an automated service that sends the link to join your online class within moments of making a reservation. Read on to find out more.

Virtual Yoga Classes

Yoga District uses a program that automatically creates a Zoom meeting(virtual room)  for every class offered in MINDBODY. All students signed up for a specific class in MINDBODY are emailed a unique link with underlined directions to “Click Here to Join”. Once a student clicks on that link they will gain access to their scheduled class.

Signing up and joining an online class is usually a seamless process. You still sign up for a yoga class through Mindbody. It isn’t possible for the program to not send a link to someone due to human error. In case you come across any issues, below are some troubleshooting tips.

TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS

1. Email most likely hiding in your email mailbox

  • Please search for an email with the words zoom.us yoga district.
  • The message was sent to you either minutes after you made your class reservation or on the Monday before the reservation.

 2. Not receiving emails from Zoom

  • It’s possible emails from Zoom are banned by your server. For instance an employer’s company server might now allow emails from Zoom.
  • If you still don’t see the message from [email protected] in your email then you will need to follow Zoom’s recommendations.
  • Google “not receiving emails from zoom” for guidance from zoom about how to receive emails from them.

3. Unable to locate email with class link

  • We can try to delete your reservation for the class and then immediately re-add you to the class.
  • Text us at 202-265-9642 and this will prompt zoom to send you a new email and unique link.
  • It may take a few minutes for that email to arrive and it won’t arrive if you have an email server blocking Zoom emails.

Thanks for supporting us and supporting your wellness! If you ever have feedback please don’t hesitate to share at [email protected].

The Teachers

The diverse family of DC yoga teachers at Yoga District are dedicated to making yoga accessible to everyone through a huge variety of yoga class types, from vinyasa flow to restorative and beyond. Most Yoga District teachers are graduates of Yoga District’s nationally-attended 200 hour teacher training program. All Yoga District classes focus on coordinating breath with body movement to promote flexibility, strength, and peace of mind. We strongly believe in yoga as therapy, so catch one of our classes whenever you need a healthy dose of self-care.

The Next Step

The Yoga District 200 and 500 hour teacher training certification programs, registered by the Yoga Alliance are unique in their emphasis on diversity of teaching styles studied, personal attention, and trauma sensitive yoga. It's no coincidence that Yoga District is regularly voted the leading studio in the nation's capital, and that most of its classes are taught by graduates of its training program. As a full time yoga school, small group trainings are led up to eight times a year by a dedicated faculty including Jasmine Chehrazi, contributor to the Harvard Karma Yoga Project teacher training, teacher training faculty at George Washington University, Yoga Alliance Standards Committee Advisory Board Member, Yoga Activist Founder, and Yoga Service Council Advisory Board Member. So take your practice and community involvement to the next level by joining a training. There's a reason why our graduates call the training "transformative."
